In an emergency
If you or someone else is in danger or hurt, call your local emergency services first (for example 112 in the EU, 911 in the US and Canada, 999 in the UK) if you can. Do not use the app instead of getting help. If you have no signal, try again from a higher or more open spot, or try a text message to emergency services where that is offered, which in some places goes through when a call does not.
Medical and first aid content
First aid content in Emberwise is general and conservative. It covers basic steps that help while you wait for professional care. It cannot diagnose or treat any condition, and it does not replace training, a doctor, a nurse or a paramedic. We strongly recommend taking a certified first aid course in person. Seek professional medical care for any serious injury or illness.
Laws, rules and local conditions
Rules differ from place to place. Always follow local laws, fire bans and restrictions, land-access and protected-area rules, and instructions from local authorities. Do not light fires, build shelters, collect water or enter areas where that is not allowed or not safe. Conditions such as weather, terrain, wildlife, water quality and your own health change what is safe. Use your own judgement.
Practising skills
Real-world drills in the app are optional. Try them only in safe, legal places and under safe conditions, with a responsible adult if you are a minor. Stop if anything feels unsafe. Emberwise does not teach you to identify wild plants or mushrooms to eat. If you cannot identify something with certainty, do not eat it. When in doubt, don't.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer of Emberwise is not liable for any injury, loss or damage that results from using or relying on the app, the website or their content. This does not limit any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
